Starting Out…..

Having semi-retired from a long and successful career, I am now developing an artistic practice at my home studio. As an emerging artist my focus is on developing my artistic identity and engaging more widely across the artistic community.

The brief back story: after completing my A level art in 1984 and declining a place at Art College I embarked on my career, leading me to set up my own consulting business as a leadership development coach. Not following up my art is my only regret in a varied life and career. I have been putting it off, finding lots of reasons not to … developing fantastic strategies not to try, avoiding the possibility of failing, of not being good enough.

Finally I am here, have set up my own studio in Leicestershire, have dusted off my pencils and oils and am back in the saddle, letting go of those limiting doubts of the past. I feel like I am back home, only took me 40 years! So here I am,  setting up my website ready to share with the world my early steps in this new journey.

I’m not a professionally trained artist, I’m not an art critic, but I do have a passion that I can’t ignore. I will share with you what inspires me, what’s in my mind when I’m painting, what I’m trying to represent. I’m exploring and experimenting, and hopefully having some happy outcomes.
